Lynne Martin, a founding member and currently Co-Chairperson of the US Green Building Council Louisiana Chapter is principal of Diversified Design Group LLC based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Having received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Drexel University Lynne has over 20 years of commercial interior design experience and is actively promoting sustainable design practices on her commercial interior design projects. Since receiving her LEED AP accreditation in 2004 Lynne has been an enthusiastic supporter of the green building movement, promoting education and awareness throughout the state of Louisiana.

Ms. Terry Heaton is the Environmental, Safety, and Health Project Lead for Deltha-Critique, a support contractor to Department of Energy (DOE). DOE, a partner with USGBC, is committed to implementing the Energy Policy Act 2005 and the high performance building /sustainability goals identified in Executive Orders 13423 and EO 13514. She has initiated through Six Sigma teams, pollution prevention and sustainable building projects for DOE. Heaton earned a BS in Biological Sciences and a MS in Oceanography from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She is a Registered Environmental Professional (REM) and a certified Louisiana Emergency Management (LEM). She is the past 2009 Secretary for the USGBC LA Chapter board, is currently serving as the Co-Chair.

Donna Barry is a Senior Vice President for Capital One Bank. She is responsible for the Southern Franchise of the Corporate Design and Construction Department. Over the past 23 years with the bank, Donna has managed the expansion of the bank’s retail office footprint into Texas and Louisiana. She leads a team of 22 professionals who manage retail and office projects throughout the southern region. Her specialties include: programming, planning, design development and construction management for the bank. For the past 5 years, Donna has promoted building energy efficient bank buildings.
Donna is a graduate of Louisiana State University and a Registered Interior Designer. She has practiced design for 31 years, specializing in retail and corporate design.

John Anderson is a resource for sustainability and green design issues under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. John was the first LEED-Accredited Professional in the state of Louisiana. As the project professional, he has successfully achieved LEED-Silver certification on one project, with numerous other projects currently registered.
Mr. Anderson earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California. He has been a licensed architect since 1991, and is licensed to practice in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Mr. Anderson has taught architecture at the University of Texas, and is a past Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council in Louisiana. He also serves on the Board of Directors of A Studio in the Woods in New Orleans and the Bay Saint Louis Little Theatre.

James Bourgeois joined Tandus in 2003 as an account executive serving Louisiana and Mississippi.
Tandus creates floorcovering solutions that enhance spaces for learning, working, healing, and living through inspired design, leading-edge technology and unprecedented achievement toward sustainability. In addition to his soft-surface floorcoverings experience with Tandus, James has extensive knowledge of the hard-surface floorcoverings. He served as an account executive in Texas and national account specialist in Pennsylvania with Forbo Industries, a linoleum and sheet vinyl manufacturer. James also managed the Southwest Region for TEC Specialty Products, an underlayment and tile settings manufacturer. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing from Louisiana State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Textiles and Apparel from Texas Woman’s University.

Greg Coates is the Building Services Leader for STORER Equipment Co. in Shreveport, LA. His role is to create and manage customer contracts by bundling facility services that improve building energy efficiency and operational performance. Greg leverages technical and human resources to manage HVAC and controls systems across the enterprise to deliver comfort, cost control and convenience for STORER’s client’s in their buildings.
Greg spent nearly 20 years in Houston, TX, where he was highly involved in flagship projects such as the Reliant Stadium complex. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Upon graduation he worked as Texas Branch Manager for Siemens where he managed sales and engineering teams across the state of Texas. His return to Louisiana as Branch Manager for Johnson Controls gave him his first experience with commercial facility management.

Tony Laska is New Orleans Program Manager for Conservation Services Group, a nonprofit program management firm delivering energy efficiency and renewable energy programs in 24 states through 16 regional offices. He served as Energy Coordinator for the City of New Orleans during the 1980’s as well as chair of the Orleans Parish Energy Advisory Committee, sponsored by LSU AgCenter during that period. He taught Energy Management for Cities and Regions at UNO and lectured on urban environmental policy at Tulane Medical School. He has led initiatives to improve the City building code, manage hazardous materials, provide for statewide energy performance contracting and manage development in sensitive habitats. He served five years as president of the Bywater Neighborhood Association while renovating a historic cottage. Tony earned his AB in Natural Sciences from Harvard University Extension and received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biological sciences from Tulane University

Jeffery P. Meyers

Jeffrey P. (Jeff) Meyers is a native of Baton Rouge, La. He received the degree of Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1979. His career includes management experience in the industrial sector in central Texas in surface lignite mining/power generation. In 1985 he was a civil engineering consultant in St. Petersburg, Florida. Jeff is presently employed with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). He began his career with the DEQ in 1986 as a permit writer in the RCRA Permits Section. In 1989 he changed duties to responding for the agency as a Hazmat emergency responder. Working cooperatively with various local, state and federal agencies on many environmental issues, Mr. Meyers has responded statewide all these years as a primary responder, supervisor, manager, and now as the Environmental Division Administrator of the DEQ Emergency and Radiological Services Division. His responsibilities at DEQ include managing the agency's Radiation Licensing, Compliance and Enforcement program; the hazardous materials' Emergency Response program; the Single Point of Contact section (DEQ-SPOC), which receives the agency's statewide spill/complaint notifications; the agency's Radiological Emergency Planning and Response program (DEQ-REP&R) involving nuclear power plant emergency response; and the Chemical Accident Prevention Program (DEQ-CAPP), which administers US-EPA RMP compliance

John Moore attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Arts in May of 2005. Moore was very active in environmental issues through an environmental studies fellowship program. After college, Moore worked for Southface Energy Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. Here he was educated in green building rating systems and eco friendly design methods. He is a certified energy rater, and a green building consultant. Moore worked with Global Green helping to rebuild his home town of New Orleans. Through this work, Moore was instrumental in building environmentally sustainable homes in the wake of hurricane Katrina . John Moore currently works for the City of New Orleans as an Energy and Environmental Policy Analyst where he is assisting in implementing a city wide sustainability plan called the GreeNOLA.

Regina Philson

Regina Philson is an Environmental Scientist and has worked in the area of remediation project management for approximately 13 years. She is a native of Meridian, Mississippi and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Dillard University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Environmental Chemistry from Southern University-Baton Rouge. Through the years, she has engaged in scientific research related to the “Effects of Heavy Metals on Bacterial Growth”, as well as, the Lower Mississippi Interagency Cancer Study (Residential Indoor Air Quality). Additionally, she served on an Environmental Planning Think Tank under the Riverside Coalition for Environmental Education and on the 2008 South Central Regionalization Task Force to develop Louisiana environmental zones for the newly revised Leadership, Energy, and Environmental Design (LEED™) rating system.

Megan is an associate in the corporate section of Fishman Haygood Phelps Walmsley Willis & Swanson, LLP. Her practice focuses on commercial finance, public finance, corporate finance and corporate transactions. She has represented borrowers, lenders and investors in numerous commercial real estate transactions utilizing a variety of economic development financing incentives, including state and federal new markets tax credits, state and federal historic rehabilitation tax credits, Louisiana motion picture tax credits, Louisiana angel investor tax credits, HUD financing and Gulf Opportunity Zone bonds. Ms. Riess is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Delaware and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Delaware State Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Megan is a member of Business Law Section and Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the ABA and serves on the LSBA’s Community Action Committee. Megan received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School.

Ella is an intern architect originally from Texas. While in school she studied social and environmental aspects of architecture. This focus took her to South Africa to study their housing program as part of her final semester. She currently works as project director for Village Green at the New Orleans Public Library, which seeks to improve information access to information and incentives related to energy efficiency and sustainability.

John Williams, Principal of John C. Williams Architect, LLC is a registered architect in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and North Carolina. As a member of the American Institute of Architects, John served as treasurer and president of the AIA New Orleans. As president, John organized design charrettes for the New Orleans riverfront, Oak St. commercial area, Algiers, downtown and the French Market for stakeholders and planners. Experience for these group planning events was fostered over the years with other volunteer activities such as organizing the Riverfront Awareness Workshop out which came such great developments as the riverfront streetcar. John continues to offer workshops on sustainable design for professionals, and, since Katrina, has provided master planning and architectural services which have helped in the New Orleans recovery.
John’s work product can be viewed all around New Orleans and the southeast. It may be a delicate iron gate on Burgundy or a new multi-story building on Canal St. or a residential golf community on the west bank. The Port of New Orleans, the New Orleans Regional Medical Center, the Research Park at the University of New Orleans have been planned by Williams Architects. The firm has been honored with design awards from the Historic District Landmarks Commission, the Vieux Carre Commission, the AIA New Orleans and others.
Persistence for excellence is a goal that can be seen in John’s work and from that comes a strong commitment to always work for excellence within our community. Volunteerism has been a cornerstone in John’s life within New Orleans. One of his cherished roles was to serve as president of the board of the Tulane Alumni Association through which he organized international volunteer days around the world. In New Orleans, his focus was on painting, cleaning, and getting volunteers into the New Orleans Public Schools through the continuing success of the NOPS Paint Rallies. As a vestry member of Trinity Episcopal Church, John worked on combining the church’s efforts with the community’s to improve the quality of public housing scattered sites within the Lower Garden District.
The importance of public well being is evident in the firm’s close working relationship with all government regulatory agencies and has been meeting since early 2005 to resolve safety code issues with the needs of historic structures. In 2005, John began serving on the Governor’s Committee for Coastal Conservation and Restoration.
Currently John C. Williams Architect, LLC is the architect and is master planning several projects in the Lower 9th Ward and is helping establish the community as the most sustainable neighborhood in the United States.
