Advocacy Committee

Tony Laska
The advocacy committee supports local, state, and federal entities' efforts to institutionalize sustainable design and development through regulation, program incentives, and green projects. The advocacy committee promotes the chapter and USGBC as the Louisiana authority on green resources and promote the USGBC LEED rating system for all construction for a better Louisiana.

Board Development Committee

The nominating committee manages the nomination process by ensuring there are enough candidates and arranging the voting process.

By-laws Committee

Chris Bankston
The by-laws committee shall be responsible for the review of the Louisiana Chapter by-laws and policies.

Chapter Development

James Bourgeois
The by-laws committee shall be responsible for the review of the Louisiana Chapter by-laws and policies.

Education Committee

John Anderson
The education committee develops the schedule for training LEED courses and coordinates with the National USGBC training coordinator.

Emerging Green Builders (EGB)

EGB New Orleans
The Emerging Green Builders Committee is composed of professionals with 5 years or less working experience and seasoned professionals new to the green principles concept. The EBG Committee hosts events at educational institutions for aspiring architectural, engineering, environmental or other professionals interested in green building.

Green Residential

John Williams
The green residential committee educates professionals, home and business owners and government on the green opportunities for residential development and advocates for adoption of green residential standards.

Green Schools

Chris Bankston
The LEED for schools committee educates and assists educational professionals, parish school boards and state education officials on the greening opportunities for building educational buildings. The chapter is considering adopting a Louisiana school for retrofit or new green construction.

Internet Communications Committee

Ella Stelter
This committee maintains a current and comprehensive website for the chapter.

Membership Committee

Clair Calvaruso
The membership committee actively recruits new members with support from the Regional Recruiters.

Programs Committee

The programs committee develops and delivers programs and events to meet the diverse needs of the Louisiana Chapter.

Public Relations Committee

Dianne Loridans
The public relations committee publicizes events and promotes green projects and chapter membership through public relations. The publish a chapter newsletter.

Social Justice Committee

Dianne Loridans
The social justice committee was formed in accordance with the 2009 National Strategic Plan and new guiding principals. It addresses the need to bring green building to all social groups.

Sponsorship Committee

Cindy Stanley
The sponsorship committee will seeks business and corporate sponsors for special events, training or the general membership meeting.
