South Central Regional Council
The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) South Central Regional Council is a group comprising of two members from each of the United States Green Building Chapters within the South Central Region (Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas). The Regional Council functions as a network to chapters and coordinates the efforts of the chapters. Regional Council members are selected by the Chapter’s Board to serve in this leadership role to represent the Chapter.
The Regional Council shares best management practices between the chapters, establishes task teams to solve regional issues for the benefit of the chapters; which may also include issues with USGBC national as well as regional issues all chapters are facing. Additional tasks are added to the Region as necessary, in order to solve problems and leverage resources to impact the region. The Chair and Vice-Chair of the South Central Regional Council are the regional representatives to the Chapter Steering Committee. USGBC Louisiana Chapter representatives are Ms. Regina Atterberry Philson, Louisiana At-Large Representative, and Mr. John Alberstadt, Louisiana Representative.
